Parent Issue Resolution


Legacy Charter School is committed to partnering with our families and our community to answer any questions and resolve any concerns promptly. If you have a school-based concern or issue, please contact your scholar’s teacher to schedule a meeting. If the concern needs to be elevated to the school administration, please call 773-542-1640 to schedule an administrative meeting.

Family Issue Resolution Process

At Legacy Charter School, we believe that a strong partnership between our families and our school is essential to every scholar’s success. Open communication and collaboration help us address questions and resolve concerns promptly and respectfully.  As partners, we are responsible for modeling positive conflict resolution processes.
 
To ensure your issue is resolved effectively and efficiently, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Contact Your Scholar’s Teacher

If you have a concern, please begin by reaching out to your scholar’s teacher. Most questions or issues can be resolved directly at the classroom level

Step 2: Contact the Deans

If your concern is not resolved after speaking with the teacher, you may request a meeting with one of our Deans.

  • Academic concerns: Contact a Dean of Academics
  • Behavioral concerns: Contact a Dean of Climate and Culture

Step 3: Contact the Principal
 
If your concern remains unresolved after meeting with the Dean, you may request a meeting with the Principal. Include a brief description of the issue and your availability. The Principal will respond within 48 hours to schedule a meeting or call.
 
Step 4: Contact the Executive Director
 
If you have met with the Principal and your concern has not been resolved, please contact the Executive Director. Include a brief description of the issue and your availability. The Executive Director will respond within 48 hours to arrange a call or meeting.
 
Step 5: Contact the Legacy Board Chair
 
If you have followed the steps above and your concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Legacy Board Chair for further assistance.
